On Friday December 23, 2016 there will be a Winter Wonderland built at the Foothill Masonic Lodge in Altadena. This is the fourth year the family has put on a winter event, but this one is big. There will be real snow for kids to play in and the children from their daycare will perform Christmas carols, like Jingle Bells and Silent Night.
The beautiful thing about this event is that the kids, who range in age from 2 – 5 years old, will not only be singing, but they will perform a song in sign language while doing the vocals. I got a glimpse of the show today and I must say that I was impressed by and a little envious of the kids at the same time, because at their young ages, they know more sign language than me. The children were so polite, disciplined and talented that the show is sure to be very entertaining and uplifting.
There will be a taco stand and rides for the kids and the community is invited to join in on the fun. The fact that there will be snow in Altadena is something to see in itself, so bring your kids or grand-kids out and enjoy the season.
